Brick and Block Days 01-03: June 6-June 9, 2008
The first 3 days we're crazy hot, in the high 80's-90's (typical early June weather right?), but the crew of masons worked long and hard to get the job done. Hat's are off to them. We have never seen so much block, brick and mortar in our lives.
You'll see mostly brick and block work as the walls, corners and windows shape up. In addition, we asked our friendly neighborhood developer to add some rigid insulation to our side of the project. While the air space between Chez 311 and 312 23rd Street will be "entombed" (brick in the front, metal or vinyl in the back and top), we wanted the added layer of insulation, since we can't ever get to that side again!
