REPOST: Hawaiian Holidays come to 22nd Street

Originally posted on South Slope News, our festive neighbors Chris and Ryan have done it again for another Holiday Light Spectacular! So mosey on down to 22nd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues for the show, which runs every 20 minutes starting tonight running through January 3.

Here’s what the folks at South Slope News have to say:

Mele Kalikimaka! Neighbors Chris Schneider and Ryan Powers brought a taste of the tropics to 22nd Street Sunday evening, as this year’s Holiday Light Spectacular made its debut.

With singing tiki heads, glowing palm trees, and whirling flamingos in Santa hats, “A Tiki Christmas” is a love letter to Hawaii, ready to transport delighted onlookers to a place where Christmas will, without a doubt, be green and bright.

Starting at 5pm, shows run every 20 minutes through January 3. Hours are Sunday through Thursday from 5-10pm, and until 11pm on Friday and Saturday. Best of all, the event is free, so grab some friends and head over to 310A 22nd Street, between 6th and 7th Avenues, for a display that is sure to put the Griswolds to shame.
